Tom and Lauren Worrall - Founders of Affinity Motor Company

Hi, we're Lauren and Tom, the husband and wife duo behind Affinity Motor Company. Yes, we work together every day and somehow still married. Miracles do happen. 

We built Affinity on honesty, graft and the belief that fairness shouldn't be rare in this industry. Whether someone is buying their first car or moving a vehicle across the country, we want people to feel looked after not taken advantage of. That is the heart of what we do.

I'm the one who keeps Affinity running day to day. The organiser, the writer, the voice of the business, and the person who makes sure everything we do feels clear, fair and genuinely helpful. 

I didn't start on this journey planning to run an office. If I had my way, I would be in the workshop every day looking like a Victorian chimney sweep and loving every second of it. But I'm also the more organised (and approachable) one (Tom will confirm this), so here I am, making sure our customers get proper advice, proper communication and a proper experience.

If something looks polished, thoughtful or organised... that's me (if not... blame Tom!)

Tom Worrall

I'm the practical half - the one behind transport runs, workshop decisions (unless Lauren gets involved) and the mechanical know-how that keeps everything running smoothly.

I've spent years moving and repairing vehicles and I take pride in doing this properly. I'm here to keep standards high and surprises low. Fairness matters to me - if I wouldn't put my own children in a car, it doesn't go on the forecourt. 

If something has been fixed, checked or made to run better than it did before... that's me. 

Together

We balance each other out. Spreadsheets and spanners, instinct and experience, strategy and hands on know how. Working together means we get the best of both worlds: Lauren's clarity and care and Tom's calm, capable practicality (it also means we've perfected the art of not arguing over who lost who's 10mm socket... mostly)

Affinity works because we share the same values: Fairness, transparency and doing things properly even when no one is watching. At the end of the day, Affinity is just us, trying to make the car world a little more honest, one customer at a time.

If you visit us in person, you'll probably meet the rest of the Affinity team too - Lauren's mum, Tom's dad and a little Jack Russell called Josh, who although he would love to be head of security, is a rubbish guard dog and is purely here for snuggles and vibes. They mostly keep an eye on us, stop us bickering and making sure we remember to eat lunch.
